Frequently Asked Questions

Is QR Hub free to use?

Yes, completely free. No account required, no watermarks, no download limits.

What size should my QR code be for print?

For business cards, a minimum of 2 cm × 2 cm (around 0.8 inches) is recommended. For posters or signage viewed from a distance, scale up proportionally — a QR code viewed from 3 metres should be at least 9 cm × 9 cm.

What is box size?

Each QR code is made up of small square modules. Box size controls how many pixels wide each module is. A higher value produces a larger, higher-resolution image — useful for print. A lower value produces a smaller file suitable for web.

What is the border setting?

The border (also called the quiet zone) is the blank white space around the QR code. QR code standards recommend a border of at least 4 modules. Reducing it below 4 may cause some scanners to fail, especially when the code is placed directly on a coloured background.

Do QR codes expire?

QR codes generated here are static — they encode the URL directly and never expire. As long as the destination URL remains active, the QR code will work indefinitely.

Can I use these QR codes commercially?

Yes. There are no restrictions on how you use the generated QR codes.
